These terms apply to the services offered by AYKEN German School and to the use of this website.

2. Scope of services

AYKEN offers online German language teaching, parent guidance, digital learning materials and related online programmes. Descriptions on this website are indicative; the specific scope, duration and content of a programme are confirmed in the booking confirmation or written agreement for that programme.

3. Bookings and payments

Bookings are made through the booking forms on this website or by written agreement. A booking becomes binding once payment has been received and AYKEN has confirmed it. Prices are shown in euro (EUR) and, in accordance with § 19 UStG (Kleinunternehmerregelung), no value added tax is charged or shown.

4. Cancellations and rescheduling

Appointments can be rescheduled free of charge up to 24 hours before the agreed time. Appointments cancelled less than 24 hours in advance, or not attended, may be charged in full. If AYKEN has to cancel an appointment, an alternative time will be offered or the amount paid will be refunded.

5. No guarantee of school outcomes

AYKEN provides teaching, guidance and information about the German school system. Decisions about school placement, transition and recommendations (including a Gymnasium recommendation) are taken solely by the responsible school and authorities. AYKEN does not guarantee any particular grade, school placement or official decision.

6. Digital materials

Digital materials, including printables and guides, are provided for personal, non-commercial use by the purchasing family. Passing them on, reselling them or publishing them — in whole or in part — is not permitted. Materials remain protected by copyright; all rights remain with AYKEN German School.

7. Liability

AYKEN is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence, AYKEN is liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation and limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Liability under mandatory statutory provisions remains unaffected. The content of this website is prepared with care; no guarantee is given for the completeness, accuracy or currentness of external information, including information about school regulations.

8. Applicable law

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which the customer has their habitual residence remain unaffected.
